A $29 massager from Target has left shoppers in hysterics for its uncanny resemblance to an X-rated toy.
The retail giant’s Sharper Image Personal Touch Go Massager looks an awful lot like the favored $240 Magic Wand vibrator, leaving people wondering whether it is in fact a dupe or simply a funny coincidence.
The massager is ‘whisper quiet’ and ‘splash-proof’
A lady discovered the budget buy on the Target website and took to a Facebook group to share her hilarious find.
It caused quite a stir and left group members in hysterics, with the post receiving over 620 likes and 489 comments.
Target’s product description read: “Treat yourself to a soothing massage with our Sharper Image Personal Touch Go Massager!
“This revolutionary device is designed to relieve tension in your neck, shoulders and back with its medical-grade silicone cover and relaxing vibration.”
The massager has vibrator-like features like “whisper quiet operation” and it’s even “splash-proof for easy cleansing.”
The packaging also boasts that the tool is rechargeable for convenience, cordless and comes in a sleek white design.
It also guarantees that you simply’ll be left feeling “energised and relaxed” after using it.
“Might need to do the ‘leg’ work and review it”
Posting to the Facebook group, Aussie woman Kay Tee shared a photograph of the product with the caption: “Anyone purchased this from Target? 😂🙈”
One woman commented, joking: “Might need to do the uhh ‘leg’ work for you ladies and review it.”
“Splash proof AND whisper quiet… might buy three,” quipped one other.
Then a 3rd chimed in, “And look, it even suits perfectly in your handbag!! That’s handy.”
“Is that what they’re calling them lately?” another person asked.
After which this user identified, “Whole recent meaning to Target now being self-serve.”
“Anyone else getting Samantha from Sex and the City vibes?” remarked a unique woman.
“I didn’t know Target sold adult toys,” stated one other shopper.
Another person concluded, “I feel like a budget vibrator from Target or Kmart would provide you with an electrical shock.”
