The world of the show mourns the loss of one of its own.
Miss Universe Australia finalist Sienna Weir died at the age of 23, in accordance with her agency Scoop management. On May 4, the company shared a tribute video with photos of the model, writing on Instagram: “Perpetually in our hearts.”
Sienna died after turning off life support after a horseback riding accident for News.com.au. In response to the Australian outlet, Sienna was riding at the Windsor Polo Grounds in Sydney on April 2 when her horse collapsed. She was taken to Westmead Hospital, where she spent several weeks on life support before her death.
The sweetness queen had a double degree in English Literature and Psychology from the University of Sydney, which she previously said Gold Coast Magazine she had “a deep and unshakeable love of show jumping”.
“My family is not quite sure where this passion got here from, but I have been riding since I used to be 3 years old and I can not imagine my life without it,” she confessed in September. “I am going to rural Sydney two to thrice every week to coach and compete in Recent South Wales or Australia every other weekend.”
