The announcement is the latest step in Musk’s ongoing Twitter review. The billionaire has announced for months that he will step down as CEO as soon as he finds an acceptable successor.
“I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone silly enough to take the position!” Musk tweeted Last yr in December.
As CEO, Yaccarino will be tasked with leading the company’s operations with a greater concentrate on the “Twitter Blue” subscription service and other recent features.
It will also seek to enhance relationships with corporate advertisers, which fled en masse last yr because of Musk’s chaotic changes to account verification and content moderation.
Recent court records have revealed that Musk has merged Twitter with a recent company called X Corp. Musk described his $44 billion Twitter acquisition as “accelerating” plans to construct a super-app he calls “X”.
Musk suggested the app may very well be much like Tencent’s WeChat, which allows users to access a spread of services from payments to food delivery and more.
