Tina Turner, often known as the Queen of Rock ‘n Roll for her catalog of hits including “Proud Mary” and “Private Dancer”, has died. She was 83 years old.
The news was made available on Turner’s Instagram account on Wednesday.

Together with her music and boundless passion for all times, she charmed hundreds of thousands of fans all over the world and inspired future stars. “Today we bid farewell to a pricey friend who left us his biggest work: his music. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to her family.
“Tina, we’ll miss you a lot.”
Turner has sold over 100 million records worldwide with great songs including “The Best” and “What’s Love Got to Do With It”.
She scored her first and only Billboard Hot 100 spot with the latter track during her profession comeback in 1984. Turner was 44 on the time, making her the oldest solo artist to top the Hot 100.
The song won three Grammy Awards in 1985 and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2012, giving Turner his third Grammy Hall of Fame award.
She has had a complete of 12 Grammy Awards, including eight competitive awards, three Grammy Hall of Fame Awards, and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
Turner retired from music in 2009 after completing her “Tina!: fiftieth Anniversary Tour”.
Born Anna Mae Bullock in 1939, she is from Brownsville, Tennessee. She spent most of her childhood picking cotton and singing on the nearby church.
Turner began her profession in 1957 as a member of her future husband’s group, Ike Turner’s Kings of Rhythm. She released her first song “Boxtop” under the name Little Ann before returning as Tina Tuner in 1960 with “A Idiot in Love”.
But her first real taste of success got here within the Sixties and Seventies because the Ike & Tina Turner Revue duo.
In his 1986 memoir, “I, Tina: My Life Story,” she accused Ike of domestic violence during their marriage. Ike died of a drug overdose in 2007.
Tina had 4 children. In highschool, she had a toddler named Raymond Hill, a saxophonist, and so they had a boy named Craig – whom Ike adopted when the couple married. Craig died by suicide in 2018.
Tina also adopted Ike’s two children, Ike Jr. and Michael, from his previous relationship. She gave birth to their son Ronnie in October 1960. He died in 2022 attributable to complications from late-stage cancer in addition to heart problems.
Singer “Proud Mary”. married her longtime partner and second husband, German music director Erwin Bach, in 2013. The couple had lived in Switzerland for a lot of years, and Turner even renounced her US citizenship. Bought a Swiss “weekend retreat” in January 2022.
In a clip from an interview Turner conducted with the late Larry King in 1997she revealed that one of the fundamental reasons she left the US was because of her fame.

She also starred in several movies, including “Tommy” (1975), “Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome” (1985) and “Last Motion Hero” (1993). That very same 12 months, she released a biographical adaptation of her memoir titled “What’s Love Got to Do with It”.
Mattel honored the singer with Barbie Tiny Turner doll – complete together with her signature voluminous haircut and iconic outfit for the “What’s Love Got to Do With It” music video – in October 2022, on the song’s fortieth anniversary.
Turner said in April 2023 Sun how she handled her famous legs being the topic of constant talk.
“Sometimes I feel I’m as famous for my legs as I’m for my voice,” she said.
“I only showed my legs to the purpose where it was much easier for me to bop. . . After which it became part of my style.”
“After I was younger, I never felt confident in any part of my body, but with all the eye being given to my legs, I noticed they have to be high-quality!”
