Johnny Depp and his band The Hollywood Vampires have postponed concert events in the US due to injury.
The group, which also includes superstars Alice Cooper, Tommy Henriksen and Aerosmith’s Joe Perry, announced the news via social media on Monday.
“We regret to inform you that the Hollywood Vampires will reschedule our three US shows coming this week” read post.
“Johnny has suffered a painful ankle injury after his recent performances and his doctor advised him not to travel.”
“He’s devastated by this turn of events, but is looking forward to resting so that each one 4 vampires may give it their all on the European tour.”
The band explained that each one tickets shall be moved to the latest dates. Originally scheduled for May 30, May 31 and June 1, the summer shows will now happen roughly two months later – in Boston, Massachusetts, at the Wang Theater Boch Center on July 28, in Manchester, NH, at the SNHU Arena on July 29 and at Bethel , NY, July 30 at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.
Three original shows in the US have been scheduled in preparation for his or her massive European tour starting June 20 at the Rudolf Weber Arena in Oberhausen, Germany, followed by stops in Romania, Turkey, Bulgaria and France.
The Hollywood Vampires formed in 2012 and have released two studio albums featuring guest appearances from icons resembling Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl, Joe Walsh, Zak Starkey and Christopher Lee. The group played their first live concert at the Roxy Theater in West Hollywood on September 16, 2015.
Since then, Depp has quickly returned to the public eye winning his highly publicized defamation lawsuit against ex-wife Amber Heard, who accused him of physical and mental abuse.
The Oscar-nominated artist was recently seen in France at the Cannes Film Festival promoting his latest film “Jeanne du Barry”.
Being on the red carpet online onlookers were repelled by his “rotting teeth” — but Depp has been aware of the development of his unsightly smile for a while.
“I even have plenty of cavities,” he said bragged in an interview with Premiere magazine in 1995. “Eight years ago I did a root canal, which is unfinished. It’s like a rotten little stump.”
The actor “Ed Wood”, then 31, claimed to “like” his flawed smile.
Despite fans believing that Johnny Depp’s teeth are “rotting” in his mouth, the famous dentist, Dr. Apa, only speaks Page Six that it’s only a case of “aggressive” wear.
Whether it’s his rotting teeth or vampire fangs, American fans can have to wait a bit longer to see Depp smile on stage.
