Jeff Bezos poured some wine dough to toast his engagement to Lauren Sanchez last week.
But a preferred Latest York wine retailer said the 59-year-old billionaire Amazon founder was squeezed out of a reported $4,285 card for a bottle of French red.
“Guilty Fact of the Day: Bezos Knows Less Than You And Was Mega Scammed In France” wrote Parcelle Wine in your Instagram account.
The post referred to a bottle of Dugat-Py Grand Cru from Domaine Bernard that the couple enjoyed La Petit Maison in CannesFrance.

One commentator wrote: “LOL, what did he think he was ordering, Rousseau Chambertin?”
The Parcelle Wine account quipped, “Love is blind.”
One other joked, “That explains Amazon’s crappy wine selection.”
A wine source told The Post that this particular bottle was last auctioned on March 3, 2022 for $647.29, which included a 20% buyer premium – meaning the markup was definitely solid.
“Chambertin wine comes from the legendary Chambertin vineyard within the Cote D’Or district of Burgundy. This vineyard is probably the most respected on the planet,” a North Fork wholesale wine expert told The Post, adding that the producer, Dugat-Py, “produces about 220 bottles a 12 months, or about one barrel.”
But Bezos can actually afford slightly price tag from a seaside hot spot.
He finally proposed to Sanchez, 53, with an enormous rock whose value is estimated over $2.5 million and is sailed around Europe on his $500 million superyacht.
Or, as one commentator noted, “I feel like he can take a success.”
