Oh humanity.
‘Black Mirror’ creator Charlie Brooker, 52, says he used ChatGPT artificial intelligence software to write hit episode Netflix series — but the ultimate product didn’t impress him.
“I have been fooling around with ChatGPT a bit,” said Brooker Empire in an interview published on Tuesday.
The British series, which premiered in 2011, often explores how scientific and technological advances can have a negative impact on society.
“The very first thing I did was type ‘generate ‘Black Mirror’ episode” and something comes up that sounds plausible at first glance but is crap at second glance, continued Brooker.
“Because all you do is undergo all of the summaries of the ‘Black Mirror’ episodes and form of mix them together. Then, in case you dig a bit of deeper, you say, “Oh, there’s really no real original thought here.” His [1970s impressionist] Mike Yarwood – there may be a current reference, he added.
The 81-year-old Yarwood was often called “British television’s first truly successful Impressionist” before fading out of the highlight.
The Post contacted representatives from Brooker for comment.
Season 6 of Black Mirror premieres on Netflix on June 15. Salma Hayek, Michael Cera, Aaron Paul, Josh Hartnett and Kate Mara are set to appear on this five-episode season.
The usage of artificial intelligence in Hollywood scripts is one among the problems raised by striking members of the Screenwriters Guild of America.
Meanwhile, an essay by a middle school student recently went viral after his teacher realized it was written by ChatGPT.
The teacher took a yellow highlighter to one line specifically.
“As a model of AI language, I haven’t any personal expectations or opinions,” the essay reads.
