Alyssa Farah Griffin was to offer her own “view” of the events.
Former Donald Trump associate Alyssa Farah Griffin reportedly met with prosecutors investigating the January 6, 2021 attack on the USA Capitol, reports CNN.
“The interview was primarily focused on former President Donald Trump, his frame of mind and what he knew in regards to the unsubstantiated claims of widespread election fraud he had been advocating leading as much as the January 6 attack,” said a source near Griffin, adding that the Star ” View” would “help prosecutors by providing first-hand accounts of when Trump appeared to confess he lost the election.”
One source told CNN that the talk show host was surprised by the prosecution’s focus on Trump’s post-election mindset.
News of Griffin’s meeting with the special counsel got here after former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, 63, testified before a federal grand jury.
The Post contacted The View star for comment.
This is not the primary time the previous communications director has been questioned due to her ties to the previous president.
In 2022, Griffin testified before a House of Representatives investigating committee on January 6 that Trump, 73, acknowledged his loss with then-president-elect Joe Biden, 80, prior to the rally that led to the riots.
“I popped into the Oval (Office) simply to headline the president and see how he was doing,” Griffin said in line with the transcripts. “And he was the TV and he said, ‘Can you think I lost to this fucking guy? After which he just moved on.[ButinthatmomentIthinkheknewhehadlost’”[ButinthatmomentIthinkheknewhelost’”[Alewtymmomenciemyślężewiedziałżeprzegrał’”[ButinthatmomentIthinkheknewhelost’”
“But now I think, I believe he thinks it has been stolen from him,” the fact show star continued. “I believe there is a level of delusion, confirmation bias, only surrounding yourself with information that matches what you must hear and what you must imagine. And I actually think he believes it was stolen. I believe lots of people around him do too.
Griffin, who resigned in December 2020, later called on the previous boss to sentence the rebellion.
“Condemn it now @realDonaldTrump – you are the just one they’ll take heed to. For our country” Griffin tweeted within the aftermath of the riots.
Griffin’s political stance also caused many conflicts along with her “View” co-stars.
Recently, a former Trump worker fell into the so-called heated argument with co-host Sunny Hostin54, which hit Griffin during Wednesday’s “Hot Topic” debate on Mike Pence’s 2024 presidential campaign.
“What scares me, Alyssa, is that you just are unable to defend the person you worked for,” said the legal expert. “I do not need more messages from Pence for several reasons.”
Griffin, who worked for Pence from 2017 to 2019, tried to reply but was cut off by Hostin, who continued to attack the previous Indiana governor.
“No, I will finish what I’m about to say … the purpose is that Pence here after I lived in Indiana and went to Notre Dame had a terrible approval for the way in which he was treating the AIDS crisis,” the creator continues. “Awful. A whole lot of people died due to him, lots of people died due to how he handled the COVID crisis.”
Griffin once more tried to rebut, however the conversation boiled all the way down to each host throwing accusations before moderator Whoopi Goldberg, 67, dropped the show for a business break.
