Shawn Mendes will need ‘Stitches’ after being subjected to harsh fan comments over the alternative of canopy art for his new single.
The Canadian singer released a new song titled “What the Hell Are We Dying For?” on Friday. — and for the quilt, he used a photograph of the eerie orange skyline of Manhattan, which was barely visible because of the raging Canadian wildfires.
Since then, 24-year-old Mendes has been taking a break from music canceled his “Wonder” tour. in July 2022 to deal with his mental health, so fans were excited for a new song.
The “Mercy” singer has long been vocal in regards to the dangers of climate change, but many fans have also questioned Mendes’ decision to make use of the devastating effects of the wildfires to advertise the song.

“I began writing this song yesterday morning with my friends in upstate New York and finished it just a couple of hours ago. I assumed it was necessary to share with you in real time,” he wrote within the caption.
He added that the income from the one is donated to the muse Canadian Red Cross.
