Colleen Ballinger, a preferred YouTuber known for her quirky, red lipstick-wearing character Miranda Sings, is facing backlash from fans who’ve denied accusations of seducing her with her bizarre ukulele song.
The 36-year-old personality, whose content appeals mainly to teenagers, uploaded 10 minute video Wednesday titled “Hi”. She carelessly took “responsibility” for her actions while criticizing the cancellation culture.
“Some people say things about me that just aren’t true,” she said in a singsong voice. “Although my band strongly advised me against saying what I used to be going to say, I spotted that they never said I could not sing about what I desired to say.”
Ballinger, who has been on YouTube for over 15 years, stated that early in her profession, she “messaged my fans – but not in the creepy way many of you are attempting to imply. It was more of a option to lose. I used to be just attempting to be a beast with everyone.
She admitted that “there have been times in DM where I overreacted”, but said she “modified her behavior and took responsibility”.

Her statements are in response to accusations by 20-year-old YouTuber Adam McIntyre, who first stated in a 2020 YouTube video that Ballinger allegedly he developed an inappropriate personal friendship with him when he was between the ages of 13 and 16.
He claimed that Ballinger sent him underwear as a prank, gave him access to his social media, and exchanged text messages with him for years.
This month, McIntyre uploaded one other YouTube video, “my relationship with Colleen Ballinger” through which he accused her of “grooming” him and other teenagers in 2010.
The video, which is sort of two hours long, has over 541,000 views.
The Post reached out to representatives from Ballinger and McIntyre for comment.

“I just desired to say that the only thing I’ve ever groomed is my two Persian cats,” Ballinger stated Wednesday. “I’m not a groomer, I’m only a nerd who didn’t understand that I shouldn’t answer to the fans. I’m not a predator, although many of you’re thinking that so, because five years ago I made a fart joke.”
She appealed the movie recently resurfaced from a Miranda Sings live performance where Ballinger was standing over a young fan who has her legs spread wide as a false fart sound is emitted from the stage, suggesting that the fan is leaking gas.
Not less than two firms that pay for ads on Ballinger’s podcast broken ties with her after the video went viral.
Ballinger continued on her recent song: “I’m sure you are disillusioned in my little shitty song / I do know you wanted me to say I used to be 100% flawed / well I’m sorry I’m not going to take that route / Admitting lies and the rumors you made up to realize influence.”
She also reminded viewers that her Miranda Sings content is “PG-13” – and that Miranda’s videos aren’t available on the YouTube Kids app – because parents determine what’s and is not appropriate for his or her children.
“For what it’s price, I never had any bad intentions, but I feel like shit,” Ballinger added at the end of the video.

Fans couldn’t imagine what they saw on Wednesday.
“That is the most insanely outdated apology video ever. congratulations, this have to be a story made on youtube,” one disillusioned viewer commented on Ballinger’s video.

“Girl, I desired to imagine you but there was no option to deal with it,” wrote one other.
“This video shows you the real you,” another person commented.
One other agreed: “That is rough lmao, won’t admit how flawed you were.”
“This higher be on SNL,” one viewer nervously laughed.
“I want an apology for this apology,” another person begged.
