Ghislaine Maxwell spent years persuading girls as young as 14 to be abused by the late financier Jeffrey Epstein. Now he’s attempting to persuade the officers of FCI Tallahassee, where he’s serving a 20-year sentence, to finish the “unfair treatment”.
Based on the report in DailyMailMaxwell has filed 400 complaints since arriving in federal prison in July.
“Max is Karen’s prison. He can complain about anything – he has over 400 of them,” the insider told a British tabloid. “She complains about food, bedding after they cancel the temple as a consequence of bad weather or are late for her legal visits.”
The entrepreneur was unable to independently confirm the information of the source.
Maxwell allegedly complained that the prison’s vegan menu was insufficient for her needs, requested authorities to exchange her bedding with hypoallergenic pillows – a request that was granted – and was angered by the lack of access to a selected black hair dye she wanted in an interview with the BBC.
Based on the source, she ended up paying one other prisoner $200 for the dye.
In a single instance, Maxwell almost had a fight with one other inmate in the laundry after she demanded Maxwell return her temporary shoes.
“This sparked an enormous argument and Max complained that she felt threatened and refused to return to the laundry room unattended,” the source said. “Here she is in a pill. Every aspect of prison life gives her the opportunity to play the role of the victim. He creates constant drama for each staff and inmates.”
The rangers allegedly retaliated by canceling several courses Maxwell teaches about social media marketing and etiquette.

Accusations of ruse to alter prisons
After her conviction, Maxwell’s lawyers demanded that she serve her sentence at FCI Danbury in Connecticut, a jail considered the model for Netflix’s Orange is the Recent Black. But the Bureau of Prisons decided that Maxwell could be transferred to a low-security federal prison at FCI Tallahassee, Florida.
Based on a Day by day Mail source, Maxwell allegedly desires to be sent to Connecticut. “Tallahassee is big. It’s old. It is a ghetto. Max has too many enemies and needs to get out of here.”
Why Maxwell is in prison
Maxwell, 61, was convicted in 2021 of 5 counts of sex trafficking and conspiracy to commit sex trafficking for her role in seducing and recruiting underage girls who were abused by Epstein’s late financial adviser.
The daughter of a wealthy newspaper mogul, Maxwell used her social status to lure the girls into Epstein’s orbit. She often gave the girls gifts and pretended to be a mentor.
“You noticed me at the Mar-a-Lago Hotel in Florida and made your selection. You selected to follow me and win me over to Jeffrey Epstein, one in every of her victims, Virginia Giuffre, told Maxwell in court. “Just a couple of hours later, you and he used me together for the first time. Together you could have destroyed me physically, mentally, sexually and emotionally.”
