Jesus Ferreira made history for the US men’s national team on Sunday night once they advanced to the knockout stage of the Gold Cup.
The American striker scored three goals in the primary half against Trinidad and Tobago, becoming the primary USMNT player to attain a consecutive hat-trick in a world competition, in keeping with ESPN.
Ferreira scored three goals on Wednesday – the second international hat-trick of his profession – in the US’ win over St. Kitts and Nevis.
Ferreira scored his first goal of the evening from the penalty area with a DeJuan Jones pass within the 14th minute.
The 22-year-old found the web for the second time within the thirty eighth minute when he scored from his own rebound and it was a 2-0 match.
His third game of the night got here from a penalty kick in added time when he managed to trick the keeper and rating to present the US a 3–0 lead.
America won the sport 6-0.
“I’m completely happy. I’m excited,” Ferreira told ESPN after the sport. “After all, that is the goal of the team. I would not give you the option to attain if my teammates didn’t put me in situations where I could rating goals.
“So we knew from the beginning that this match was going to be intense. Now we have to bring intensity, we now have to be a team that may set the pace and I feel we have done that.
On Sunday, the USMNT scored a hat-trick for the third time in his profession, tying it with career-most tied with American soccer star Landon Donovan.
Ferreira also has 14 goals in his international profession since he made his national team debut in 2020.
Ferreira’s Herculean effort helped the US to emerge victorious and advance to the quarter-finals of the Gold Cup, winning Group A on goal difference over Jamaica.
On July 9 in Cincinnati, the US will face Canada, Guatemala or Guadeloupe.
