The Austin Peay State University community mourns the tragic loss of one of its student athletes.
Freshman Jeremiah Collinswho played for the school’s Governors football team, (*18*) July 21 from injuries sustained in a automotive crash near the college campus in Clarksville, Tennessee. He was 18 years old.
Collins, a native of Louisville, Kentucky, was driving too fast as he exited a Tennessee freeway and his pickup truck flipped several times before coming to rest in a grassy area, the Nashville Metropolitan Police Department said in a press release.
