The weak Alberta Clipper system will dive from Canada on Christmas Day, moving through the northern a part of the United States before arriving in the northeast early next week.

This method is projected to bring only just a few inches or less of snow, but the Clipper will skim through many areas which have just been hit hard by the Christmas Blizzard, which brought dangerous snow, high winds, biting cold and destructive ice across most of the country.
The FOX Forecast Center forecasts only just a few inches or less of snow due to the system’s lack of moisture and high-speed traffic.
The highest snowfall is forecast in the Dakota, southwestern Minnesota and down to Illinois, where 3 to 5 inches could fall by Tuesday.
The Clipper will dive south of Canada on Christmas Day, bringing snowfall to the Dakota and parts of the Upper Midwest.
By Sunday evening, the system will bring snow to Kansas City and St. Louis.
Forecast for Monday
The Clipper will move across the Midwest on Monday, bringing several hours of sunshine to moderate snowfall to Louisville, Indianapolis and Columbus.
On Monday evening, the system will make its way northeast and bring a winter mix to Erie, Pennsylvania, and Syracuse, Recent York with temperatures in the mid-twenties.
The excellent news is that any hits from this Clipper will be mild compared to sub-zero temperatures and snowfall Christmas week winter storm.
Moreover, forecasters are tracking above-average temperatures on Recent Yr’s Day in the West, Plains and Northeast.
While temperatures in the mid-20s in the Northern Plains may not feel like a warm-up, the chills in the freezing 40s and 50s temperatures felt over the past few days are blowing.
