“With the recent Supreme Court decision that has stripped the fitting to bodily autonomy of individuals with wombs, and together with his explicit intention to further strip the rights of queer people and take away the power for people to practice protected sex without fear of pregnancy, it is clear that the employment of Clarence Thomas at George Washington University is totally unacceptable,” read the petition.
“The scholars were promptly informed of Justice Thomas’ decision by his co-instructor who will proceed to offer the seminar this fall,” GWU spokesperson Joshua Grossman said Thursday in an announcement to NPR.
The petition also mentioned his wife Ginni Thomas’ alleged involvement within the Jan. 6 riot. According to reports, she communicated with over two dozen Arizona lawmakers to push them to reverse former President Donald Trump’s loss within the state. Thomas didn’t recuse himself from the Jan. 6 document hearings, which drew further criticism.
“While also factoring in his wife’s part within the attempted coup in January of 2021, Judge Thomas is actively making life unsafe for 1000’s of scholars on our campus (not to mention 1000’s of campuses across the country),” the petition continued.
Bette Midler
Higher Midler faced her curtain call in July after tweeting concerning the trans community and the language used to describe them.

Fulani said that the previous royal aide asked her where she was from, and after the activist said she was a British citizen, Hussey said, “Where are your people from?”

Ticketmaster caused “bad blood” with Taylor Swift fans after denying them tickets for her highly anticipated The Eras tour.
