Britney Spears has broken her silence following her husband Sam Asghari’s divorce filing one yr into their marriage, saying she “couldn’t take the pain anymore”
Taking to Instagram Friday night, the “Toxic” hitmaker, 41, said that while their divorce is “no one’s business,” she admitted to being “a bit of shocked” at the turn of events.
“As everyone knows, Hesam and I are not any longer together … 6 years is a protracted time to be with someone so, I’m a bit of shocked,” the pop star wrote alongside a video of herself dancing.
“I’m not here to clarify why since it’s truthfully no one’s business !!! But, I couldn’t take the pain anymore truthfully !!!” she continued. “In some type of telepathic way I actually have been receiving so many messages that melt my heart from friends and I thanks !!!”
Spears said she’s “been playing it strong for way too long,” adding that her Instagram shows a life that’s “removed from reality.”
“I might love to point out my emotions and tears on how I actually feel but (for) some reason I’ve at all times had to cover my weaknesses,” she said, adding that if she “wasn’t my dad’s strong soldier, I could be sent away to places to get fixed by doctors.”
“But that’s after I needed family the most !!! You’re alleged to be loved unconditionally … not under conditions !!!!”
Spears concluded her post writing how she shall be “as strong as I can and do my best !!! And I’m actually doing pretty rattling good !!! In any case have an excellent day and don’t forget to smile !!!”
The “Gimme More” hitmaker’s post comes just sooner or later after Asghari broke his silence on the split.
“After 6 years of affection and commitment to one another my wife and I actually have decided to finish our journey together,” the actor wrote on Instagram Thursday.
“We’ll hold onto the love and respect we now have for one another and I wish her the best at all times,” he continued, adding “s–t happens.”
Despite the seemingly civil tone, the model-turned-actor’s filing shows he’s asking that Spears be required to pay spousal support and canopy his legal fees and court costs, but in addition asked for “separate assets” and “various items.”
Based on Asghari’s filing obtained by The Post, amongst those could include Spears’ dog, a Doberman named Porsha, which he had gifted her in 2021, in addition to an Australian Shepherd named Sawyer the pair adopted in February.
Other than the various items he’s requesting from the court, Asghari won’t be walking away with a penny of Spears’ hard-earned fortune because of an airtight prenup the pair had in place before saying their “I do’s.”
Spears and Asghari first laid eyes on one another on the set of her music video “Slumber Party” in Oct. 2016.
The pair soon began dating but kept their romance out of the public eye as a result of Spears being in a conservatorship at the time.
Asghari popped the all-important query in Sept. 2021 — just two months before the singer’s conservatorship was officially terminated by a judge.
Lower than a yr later, the couple tied the knot in a personal ceremony at her Thousand Oaks, Calif., mansion.
But the day wasn’t without its drama, as Spears’ ex-husband crashed the party by live-streaming himself breaking into her home before being pinned down by security.
Jason Alexander, who was married to the pop icon for a complete of 55 hours in 2004, was later hit with a restraining order and told to keep away from the singer.
Spears later wed Kevin Federline, with whom she shares sons Sean Preston, 17, and Jayden James, 16, before divorcing the former dancer in 2007.
