Convicted rapist Danny Masterson has been moved to a maximum security prison that was once home to several other famously dangerous inmates.
The “That 70s Show” alum, who was sentenced to 30 years to life for raping two women, was transferred from North Kern State Prison in Delano, Calif., to Corcoran State Prison in Corcoran, Calif., on Monday where he’ll likely serve a majority of his sentence.
A judge denied the “That ’70s Show” actor’s request for bail last week, claiming he was a flight risk because he has “no wife to go home to.”
Masterson, 47, will probably be eligible for parole at age 66 in July 2042, according to California state prison records.
The Scientologist will reportedly live in Corcoran’s Level 4 housing unit — the very best tier of security available on the prison. Inmates are placed at this level once they need of additional protection and or supervision.
He’ll reportedly be under 24/7 surveillance in case he shows signs of “mental distress,” which incorporates around-the-clock video monitoring, together with cell checks by prison guards every half-hour.
If Masterson does show signs of distress to continues to be at risk, he will probably be placed into the prison’s small Protective Housing unit where inmates are put in the event that they’re subject to harm.
The Post has contacted reps for Masterson for comment.
Famous cult leader Charles Manson spent nearly 10 years within the Protective Housing wing. Corcoran also temporarily housed Sirhan Sirhan, the person who was convicted of murdering Robert F. Kennedy in 1968, on two separate occasions, in addition to “The Dating Game Killer,” Rodney Alcala.
Masterson shares a 9-year-old daughter, Fianna, along with his ex-wife, actress Bijou Phillips, 43.
Phillips stuck by Masterson’s side through his rape trials and even his sentencing until filing for divorce in September.
After citing “irreconcilable differences” in her California filing, Phillips also requested full custody of Fianna but will allow the pre-teen to visit Masterson in prison.
