57-year-old country-pop queen Shania Twain stripped down – on the duvet of her upcoming album “Queen of Me”, which can be released on February 3.
“It was so empowering. I’m so glad I did,” said the pink-haired Twain Hoda Kotb on Today’s show. Thursday. “I was terrified, but after I flipped that switch and dived into it, I assumed, ‘I’m in! I was 100% involved.
Indeed, Twain was completely comfortable in his bare skin.
“I wasn’t fascinated by what anyone thought, I wasn’t fascinated by who was within the room,” she told the morning show host. “It’s about me, that is my moment to actually embrace myself in a vulnerable moment. It should have been sensitive where I felt I was facing fear of judgment and perhaps even ridicule, embarrassment.”
In spite of everything, it was a show of strength in the sphere.
“It was just empowering,” said Twain. “It was really great.”
Twain released her upbeat latest single “Dizziness!” Thursday, he really began dealing along with his body’s insecurities.
“I do not really love my body,” she said. “I don’t love looking at myself within the mirror with the sunshine on or looking at my body within the mirror at all.”
Nonetheless Grammy award winner she’s working to feel more in her fifties.
“That is so vital, greater than ever, because as we age…our skin starts to melt and things occur to us,” Twain said.
“I realize wow, after I was younger I was ashamed to wear a bikini on the beach and I’m like, ‘That was ridiculous. I want to stop this crap and begin going to the beach in a bikini regardless that I’m not 20 anymore.” You realize, I just need to take care of it,” said Kotb, an Ontario Canadian resident.
For Twain, the title of the brand new album – “Queen of Me” – is all about empowerment.
“It means taking responsibility, owning yourself… loving who you might be,” she said. “I’m my very own royal family. I’m my boss. And I’m chargeable for the choices I make, for what I say, for what I do. And it is a confirmation of the boldness I’ve grown into over the past few years.”
