The Buffalo Bills will face the Recent England Patriots on Sunday afternoon of their first game since the Bills’ safety, Damar Hamlin, fell and suffered a cardiac arrest in the middle of Monday’s game against the Bengals in Cincinnati.
The game is scheduled to kick off at 1:00 p.m. EST at Bills Field, Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, Recent York, and robust support for Hamlin is anticipated during the regular season finale.
On Sunday morning, Hamlin tweeted that he was supporting his teammates on the pitch.
In one other Sunday morning tweet, the Bills gave the impression to be dedicating the game to Hamlin, 24: “Today is for 3,” it said on Twitter, alongside an image of Hamlin’s No. 3 jersey.
The Bills will also wear ‘3’ caps on the sidelines in honor of Hamlin’s number and a special ‘3’ badge on their jerseys, in line with the National Health Fund.
Patriots too tweeted the photo T-shirts No. 3 in the locker room with the inscription “Love for Damar”.
Fans can expect many more of those: In an announcement posted on Twitter on SaturdayNFL Commissioner Roger Goodell told fans that “Players and coaches from all 32 teams will be wearing “Love for Damar 3” shirts during the pre-game warmup in a league-wide show of support for Damar.
Other tributes expected on Sunday include a pre-game tribute to Hamlin and the paramedics and the medical staff caring for him, in addition to the scratching of a “3” on every 30-yard line number on the pitch in the Bills colours, red or blue, said the NFL.
The game arrives a day after Hamlin made his first public comments since he collapsed during Monday’s match, thanking fans for their support and asking them to proceed praying.
“Thanks to everyone who reached out and prayed” – Hamlin tweeted on Saturday. “This will make me stronger on the road to recovery, pray for me!”
Hamlin fell on Monday after scoring in the first quarter against the Bengals. Coaches surrounded Hamlin and he performed CPR for several minutes as Bills knelt to hope on the field. In keeping with Bills’ statement, “his heartbeat was restored on the field and he was transferred to the UC Medical Center for further examination and treatment,” referring to the University of Cincinnati Level 1 Trauma Center.
This match was suspended after which rescheduled. The NFL said it will not be made up.
In Saturday’s tweet Bill said that, in line with Hamlin’s doctors, “he’s making regular progress in his recovery but stays in critical condition.”
“He continues to be respiration on his own and his neurological functions are excellent,” the tweet continued.
Hamlin will not play on Sunday or for the foreseeable future, and the Bills have placed him on the injured reserve list said Friday. The NFL said Hamlin will receive the full $825,000 for 2022, despite the fact that he landed on the injured reserve list.
Experts uninvolved in Hamlin’s treatment have suggested that a a rare phenomenon called “commotio cordis” could also be responsible.noting that a healthy heart struck with blunt force inside a specific amount of time can set in motion an abnormal and potentially fatal rhythm.
Bills and NFL fans have rallyed around Hamlin since his injury, collecting tens of millions of dollars for the charity donation and collection of toys he founded and arriving outside the hospital to specific its support, in line with Cincinnati-based NBC affiliate WLWT.
