FIRST ON FOX: Speaking exclusively to Fox News Digital over the weekend, actor and author Kirk Cameron announced that he’ll travel to a series of public libraries to deliver a message of faith, freedom, family and country to thousands and thousands of Americans in major cities – people who ” they call,” he said, “someone to push away” from today’s awake culture.
“I’m hitting the road,” Cameron told Fox News Digital.
“I’m going out” to speak to Americans in major cities, he said, particularly in some public libraries that either refused his previous requests to hold story hours of their facilities or never responded to his book publisher’s requests to hold books … held there parties.
Cameron’s latest book “As You Grow” is an illustrated kid’s book that tells the story of the oak tree in several seasons.
The story encourages children to develop and share the virtues of patience, joy, kindness, compassion, self-control, and other biblical values.
He noted that in his recent appearances at the Indianapolis Public Library in Indianapolis, Indiana, and at the Scarsdale Public Library in Scarsdale, Recent York, dozens of people approached him and thanked him for sharing his Christian values and beliefs.
“So now I’m going to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Denver, Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta,” and other cities, Cameron said, “where persons are screaming for somebody to keep off, rise up, and produce the kinds of values which have made this country free and led to his blessings.”
Cameron added: “When those 50 awake libraries initially refused to are available and write an hour-long story and said their communities weren’t fascinated about that sort of news, I didn’t imagine them.”
Then, “once we pushed two of them away, they opened up,” he said. “We walked out and were greeted by 1000’s of people in Indianapolis and Scarsdale.”
He continued: “The message I kept hearing was, ‘Thanks for coming to our city. People passed us by and crossed us out considering that we would like this woke up mafia to teach these values to our youngsters – and that is not true. We love what you bring, and we’re so grateful you are here.”
As well as to that, Cameron said, “we have been inundated with emails and comments on social media from people begging us to come to their libraries.”
So he said, “I’m occurring the road – and I’m going.”
Cameron said his tour of public libraries is probably going to last several months – and that his family, including parents and sister, Candace Cameron Bure, support him in his efforts to share a belief in traditional values across the county
Planning for his visit to the Los Angeles Public Library is currently underway. He said it will happen on Saturday, January 14.
“Let Their Voice Be Heard”
“We’re going straight into motion,” Cameron said of his latest tour of the public library, “because people say they need to be a component of something that lets others know, ‘We don’t desire this wake-up trash. We wish the right values that lead to our youngsters, our families and our communities flourishing.”
Cameron and his publisher, Brave Books, noted that each the Indianapolis and Scarsdale Public Libraries had previously held “drag story hours” of their facilities – events that were widely publicized on library web sites and elsewhere.
“So much of persons are in search of a way to be represented,” Cameron said. “They’re in search of a way to make their voice heard and show what they stand for.”
And “they see this chance as a possibility to be part of something that they imagine can change the country.”
Finally, he added, “There are thousands and thousands of Christians, parents, patriots and anxious Americans who realize that we’re fighting a battle for the hearts and minds of our youngsters.”
“And we’re going to take them back one story at a time – if that is what it takes.”
Cameron said he and his publisher understand how to work with America’s public libraries to provide reading time for story books.
“We’re responding to the cry of parents and grandparents and even public school teachers and librarians,” he said, “who say, ‘Please! We feel gagged, intimidated and silenced by unions and other groups that don’t represent people’s values and desires.”
And “I feel when you just have a look at the number of people who got here for what we brought compared to what other groups brought, I feel that speaks for itself,” he said.
“There have been 1000’s of people,” he insisted, at the same time as the Indianapolis Public Library, for instance, stated on its Twitter account that the number of people who attended Cameron even on Thursday, December 29 was much smaller.
“That is what you do,” said Cameron, referring to the comment, “when things aren’t tilting in your favour.”
He also noted, “But apparently there have been 1000’s of people. We’ve got so many comments and testimonials from people who actually attended events that counted people — and people who said there have been more than 2,500 people, that there have been more than 3,000 or more,” at the Indianapolis library, he said.
About the library events he organizes, he added: “This is exclusive. One of the things I’ve learned from that is that there are such a lot of people who are very busy, raising families, going to work. They love this country and see the values on this country deteriorate politicians getting damaged.”
He said: “I used to be wondering where the line is when people will finally say, ‘Enough is enough.’ Not any more’? And evidently this line is drawn very clearly in the hearts and minds of their children, especially the youngest ones,” said Cameron.
“There are so much of people who don’t show up at the ballot box when voting. There are lots of people who will send their children to public schools despite the fact that they know that these schools don’t represent their values.”
But “if you come for his or her little ones in fairy tale season,” said Cameron, “and also you send men in lingerie, clown makeup and wigs to read them sexualized stories – that seems to be the point that mums, dads and grandpas are talking about.” , ‘Not any more.'”
He added: “So, if it has to be – that is where we fight,” he said.
And “I’m going to lead the charge with an hour of storytelling,” he said.
Cameron also said: “Public perception is usually not reality. And I do know this from Hollywood, the land of make-believe where perception shouldn’t be reality. And there’s an opinion in the country that everyone seems to be behind the transgender agenda, that everyone seems to be advancing of their values, and that they need to support anti-God, anti-American ideologies. And that is not reality,” he said.
“And after I went to libraries, I saw reality. And these are 1000’s of moms and dads, concerned residents, people of faith and character who want to sing, ‘God Bless America’ inside the public library.
He said a “grandmother in tears” approached him and said she was concerned about what was happening in her country.
She told me, “I even have 18 grandchildren. I can see what is going on on. What can I do to protect them, help them and stop this awakening [culture] from taking up their hearts and minds?’”
He said he had seen it again and again.
Cameron said that “while I really like the book I wrote and every part Brave Books is doing with this book and other books, I didn’t expect it to get up such a sleeping giant of parents and grandparents who want to join this army of compassion to protect our youngsters”.

He noted that Brave Books has released dozens of books set on Freedom Island – “and Freedom Island represents the United States of America,” Cameron said.
“That is what we’re – the island of freedom in the world. We’re a spot where freedom lives. We’re surrounded by other places that do not have the freedom we have now.”
Said Cameron: “And I feel like that is what we’re doing. We lead the charge on the front line of kid’s fairy tales to save the “Island of Liberty”. So when people read these stories every month [from the Brave Books subscription series] — on integrity, corruption exposure, gender, biblical wisdom, and more — it gives families a gradual stream of resources to teach their children how to keep Liberty Island free.”
Cameron added: “There are so much of libraries in America – about 9,000 – and we go to the ones that appear to need it the most.”
A spokesperson for Brave Books confirmed on Sunday: “We might be traveling over the next few months and trying to reach as many libraries as possible. We’re all involved on this.
Trent Talbot, CEO of Brave Books in the US Houston, Texastold Fox News Digital, “Kirk Cameron and Brave Book are fighting to make sure that America has a generation grounded in fact and powerful morals – to be prepared for the fight that lies ahead.”
