Incredible footage captured the moment a screaming parrot was capable of scare away would-be thieves who were attempting to break right into a house in Melbourne, Australia on New Year’s Eve.
A two-year-old macaw named Versace was left alone in a house up north while her owners played outside for the primary time in years.
But the sunshine blue parrot knew something was incorrect when the aliens tried to interrupt in and began screaming.
The parrot let loose ear-piercing screams, each scream getting louder because the animal grew more concerned in regards to the attempted break-in.
A series of short but head-splitting screams from the parrot thwarted the thieves’ plans and compelled them to flee.
The timestamp of the footage indicated that the attempted break-in occurred just before midnight and was filmed by a security camera of their lounge.
“One of the best guard dog we have ever bought,” Versace owner Alexandra Kavanagh told 9 News.
“Higher than a guard dog.”
The break-in left the parrot in an uneasy state because it initially refused to go away its cage.
“She finally did it and I just kissed her for ages,” said Kavanagh.
“Since then, I have never let her go.”
Since that incident, the brave parrot has been having fun with his favorite snacks and treats.
“Sometimes you do not mind a little bit KFC,” said Kavanagh.
“Chicken and chips as a small snack. I’ll buy all her latest toys.”
