Ezra Miller agreed to a plea bargain Friday to avoid a prison sentence related to a May 2022 incident through which they allegedly stole alcohol from a neighbor’s house in Vermont.
The “The Flash” actor pleaded not guilty to the fees against him in October, which could carry a maximum sentence of 25 years.
Under the contract, Miller agreed to plead guilty to wrongful misconduct, misdemeanor and can serve one 12 months’s probation and pay a $500 wonderful. Their sentence, which lasts about 90 days, is suspended for a 12 months pending a probation contest. As a part of the deal, Miller agreed not to eat alcohol and to proceed his rehabilitation efforts focused on psychiatric treatment.

Miller has made headlines lately following a string of disturbing behavior and allegations of misconduct.
The first incident occurred in 2020 after a video emerged showing them brutally strangling a fan. Incidents of misconduct escalated in 2022 after they were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and harassment at a Hawaii karaoke bar.
Soon after, Miller was arrested again after an argument through which they were accused of throwing a chair and injuring a woman. Moreover, there have been accusations of grooming against Miller.
Warner Bros., the studio behind The Flash, remained silent during Miller’s arrests in early 2022. Nevertheless, sources inside the company reportedly said emergency meetings were held last April to discuss the controversy and the studio’s next steps. On the time, it was agreed that the film would remain on the board, but Warner Bros. will put a hold on future projects involving the actor. The Flash premieres on June 16.
Miller has been with the DCEU because the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016 and has been a key a part of Warner Brosproduced the Improbable Beasts film series, with two more movies left to shoot.
Regardless, the DCEU is on the move as James Gunn and Peter Safran have taken over the helm of the superhero universe projects. The duo is predicted to announce official plans for the longer term in early 2023.
