Canadian wealth management company CI US Holdings acquires a large stake in Midtown, leasing 50,000 square feet in HJ Kalikow’s flagship constructing 101 Park Ave.
The owner was represented by John Cefaly and Nicholas Dysenchuk from Cushman & Wakefield. Mitti Liebersohn, Mark Robbins and Evan A. Foley of Savills represented the tenant on behalf of the tenant.
The CI US move grew out of the recent acquisition of two Midtown corporations that were consolidated into a recent location. The asking rent was $105 per person.
Cefaly said Kalikow’s “incredible positioning” at 101 Park helped Convene with its recent tower extension in addition to signing recent leases with Wendel North American and Incline Equity Partners.
The owner, Kathryn H. Kalikow, said 101 Park Ave. “topped the market by renting over 110,000 square feet within the last quarter alone.”
Iconic radio stations HOT 97 and WBLS have a recent home: Savanna’s 48 W. twenty fifth St., where parent company MediaCo Holding signed a 25,000-square-foot lease.
The brand new excavation will function broadcasting studios and station headquarters. Savanna bought the constructing in 2018 and carried out a thorough modernization of the capital.
Cushman & Wakefield represented each the owner and the tenant.
