Prince Harry has described the horror attributable to his brother Prince William’s scream at a summit to debate his and wife Meghan’s royal roles in a latest Netflix documentary.
In the second installment of the Netflix documentary ‘Harry and Meghan’ released on Thursday, Harry said his father, King Charles, said things that “just weren’t true” while the late Queen Elizabeth remained silent during the summit, which ultimately ended led to the departure of the Sussexes from the British royal family.
“It was scary with my brother yelling and yelling at me and my father saying things that just weren’t true and my grandma just sitting there quietly and sort of taking all of it in,” Harry says in episode five.
Netflix on Thursday released three more episodes of the six-part series it describes as an “unprecedented and in-depth” documentary.
After releasing three initial episodes last week that saw Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, hit back at what they called “exploitation and bribery” of the British press.
You might have to grasp that from a family perspective, and especially from a family perspective, there are methods of doing things.
The streaming platform said on Tuesday that the series became its biggest documentary debut thus far, attracting 81.55 million hours of viewing worldwide in its first 4 days of release.
It also appeared on the streamer’s Top 10 TV Shows list in 85 countries and was ranked No. 1 in the UK
The opening installment acted as a love letter to the couple’s high-profile relationship, revealing latest details about their first outing in 2016, but was notable for each what it excluded and what it included.
The second part, nonetheless, turned out to be more explosive with apparent revelations about the events leading as much as the couple’s final decision to step away from the royal family in 2020.
A disclaimer at the starting of episode one states that royals have “refused to comment on the content of this series”. Nonetheless, a senior royal source confirmed to NBC News that neither Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace, nor any member of the royal family are aware of this approach to commenting on the show’s content.
“There are methods of doing things”
Episode five recalls how in January 2020 the late Queen called “an urgent meeting of senior members of the royal family at Sandringham to debate the latest role of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”
Generally known as Sandringham Peak, it included Harry together with the then Queen, Charles and William.
“You might have to grasp that from the perspective of the family, and especially her family, there are methods of doing things,” says Harry, referring to the Queen. “And its ultimate sort of mission, purpose, or responsibility to chop is an establishment.”

Harry also noted in the episode that he had been pondering about moving abroad for several years and wrote an email to his father telling him that the couple would relinquish their titles of Duke and Duchess of Sussex in the event that they couldn’t move abroad to work .
Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace have yet to publicly reply to the series, nor did they immediately reply to CNBC’s request for comment on the claims.
Being fed to wolves
The remaining of the series is analogous to the first part, with the couple claiming that Meghan was shunned by the royal family and intruded by the British press.
Meghan says she was told the royal establishment viewed her as an “alien organism”.
“It’s like this fish is swimming perfectly high-quality, and then sooner or later this alien organism shows up, and then the whole thing goes, ‘what’s it?’ What’s it doing here? She doesn’t seem like us, she doesn’t move like us, we don’t love it, get off us,” Meghan recalled when her private secretary told her in episode 4.
“She just explained that soon they’ll see that he’s stronger, faster, even higher with this organism as an element of it,” he continues.
Elsewhere, Meghan describes being “fed to the wolves” of the tabloid news media after not fitting in with the family.
I noticed I wasn’t just thrown to the wolves, I used to be eaten by the wolves.
The couple have long claimed that Meghan was mistreated by the British media, including due to her race – the claims were rejected by the media.
“I noticed that not only had I been thrown to the wolves, but I had been eaten by the wolves,” he says.
“It was already clear to the media that the palace wouldn’t protect her. When that happens, the gates open,” adds Harry.
Episode 4 also features additional commentary from Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, who mentions that her daughter desired to take her own life resulting from the media backlash.
“I remember her telling me she desired to take her own life,” she says.
“I knew it was improper, but to consistently be harassed by these vultures – just nibbling her spirit – that she would actually consider not wanting to be here … that is hard for a mother to listen to,” she adds.
Directed by Oscar nominee Liz Garbus, Harry and Meghan is one among a series of shows the Sussexes are producing as a part of a business cope with Netflix as they create a latest life outside of the royal family.
Their production house, Archewell Productions, is ready to release one other Netflix series, “Heart of Invictus,” in 2023.
