The video captured the moments when a diver got here face to face with a great white shark.
White Shark Ocean, a shark conservation company in South Africa, recorded a video earlier this month showing the shark swimming through the faded blue-green water – straight towards the camera.
But just before any collision, the shark veers to the left, revealing the graceful profile of its torpedo face, punctuated by long, sharp teeth.
This attitude allows the diver to get a close-up view of considered one of the creature’s round black eyes before the animal turns and swims away.
The great white shark is considered one of the most important fish on this planet.
According to the Smithsonian, great white sharks can reach a length of 11 to 16 feet, with the best height up to 20 feet long.
Sharks might be found all around the world, and South Africa has traditionally been a hotspot for white sharks.
