Mother knows best.
A fifth-grader from Pennsylvania composed the soundtrack, and because of her supportive mother, she is now played by musicians around the globe.
Olive Wallace wrote the tune at home, but when the 10-year-old violinist and clarinetist performed it, she thought it sounded awful, so she put the sheet music on the kitchen counter.
Her mother, Mimi, discovered posted it on TikTokasking users to perform the song.
“So my 10-year-old daughter wrote it,” she said within the video. “Could anyone play this? I would like to know. I would like to know if it’s good and if it is smart.
“I come from a family of music teachers and I can read music, but I haven’t got perfect hearing” Wallace told Today.com. “I desired to know what Olive’s music seemed like, so I asked TikTok.”
A couple of hours later, it got around 1 million views, and inside per week it reached 4 million.
“I actually didn’t think it might grow to be what it became.” – Mimi, 42, told The Washington Post. “I used to be hoping to get around 500,000 views.”
One among the music teachers performed the song Olive on violin and piano and shared it with the mother-daughter duo.
“That is so funny – I swear I saw some crosses here indicating a key signature so I assumed it was D major” she said in her video post. Mine will sound a bit different. I hope she likes it!”
Other musicians played it clarinet Or bass.
“I’m all the time comfortable to assist budding composers,” said the harpist.
