This sexy snail knows methods to move it.
An underwater photographer managed to capture a sea snail “dancing” within the water, however the photo quickly went viral after being in comparison with something a bit more X-rated.
The snail, captured in Coral Bay in Western Australia by photographer Daniel Nicholson, has been identified because the “Spanish Dancer” due to the best way the aquatic species moves through the water.
The video of the creature was posted on Instagram last month just circulated and has since gained 406,000 likes.
Nicholson, 31, said he was within the water with friends after they spotted the dancer, initially pondering it was garbage.
“We were just having fun once we noticed something colourful floating within the water,” Nicholson said. “At first we thought it was garbage, so we stopped to attempt to take it out.
“As we got closer, we saw that she was a Spanish dancer, so I jumped in to photograph her,” continued the photographer. “It was magical to look at him dance within the water because the sun’s rays hit him.”
Based on the photographer, catching a snail in the course of open water is amazingly rare.
“Spanish Dancer” is known scientifically as Hexabranchus sanguineus. The predator feeds mainly on sponges and could be present in waters from Asia to Africa and South America.
“I understand it’s quite rare to see someone moving through the water like this quite than sitting on the underside, so the entire experience was unique, the movements were just mesmerizing,” Nicholson said.
Several online users had their very own thoughts on the film.
“Dancing bacon? Now I’ve seen all of it,” one person laughed.
“Looks like a floating pancetta,” commented a second person.
“I feel I would like to be that in the following life,” a third chimed in, while one other called it “water lasagna.”
Other commentators had more thoughts with the X rating.
