“He can run, but he cannot hide,” legendary boxer Joe Louis once said of his opponent.
The identical may be said of the president of the US lately.
At an important point in his tenure, Joe Biden repeatedly refuses to ask questions.
The strange evasion and weaving made even the normally docile White House press corps agitated.
Why he won’t answer us, they demand to know.
The query answers itself – Biden won’t go to the media because he has something to cover.
But as with Joe Louis’ opponents, running won’t work.
Because despite Biden’s efforts, day-to-day, drop by drop, his dirty secret comes out.
With each recent piece of evidence, it becomes an increasing number of certain that he was directly involved within the intrigues of his family.
Recent events also confirm something else—that selections have consequences.
The GOP’s victory, which gave the party control of the House of Representatives, already provides crucial information that House Democrats have scandalously kept secret for greater than two years.
Even the Department of Justice, ostensibly investigating Hunter Biden since not less than 2018, has apparently not been keen on keeping major evidence out of sight.
Count this all for example of how split government normally works best.
Most significantly, the pollsters do it in a way made famous by Watergate—following the cash.
Consider that a single Republican subpoena to Bank of America provided key details on how a suspicious $3 million payment from a Chinese energy company was split between Biden’s members of the family and associates.
Hunter Biden and Jim Biden, the president’s son and brother, got the lion’s share.
But Hallie Biden, the widow of Joe Beau’s late son and Hunter’s lover, also got $35,000, the primary time she was known to share a windfall that investigators said might be as high as $11 million.
In an understatement of the yr, GOP representative James Comer of Kentucky said, “It’s unclear what services were performed to acquire such an exorbitant amount of cash.”
Comer, the aggressive head of the Oversight Committee, has repeatedly said that the investigation is ultimately about Joe Biden, and he reiterated the purpose on Thursday.
“The Oversight Committee is worried in regards to the national security implications of President Biden’s family receiving tens of millions of dollars from foreigners,” Comer said.
“We’ll proceed to follow the cash trail and facts to find out whether President Biden is threatened by his family’s business plans and whether there may be a threat to national security.”
In an indication that Comer had hit a nerve, his comments and the $3 million revelation rocked each Hunter Biden’s legal team and the White House, with each release of statements suggesting a recent level of desperation.
“Hunter Biden, a non-public citizen with full right to run his own business ventures, has joined several business partners in searching for a three way partnership with a non-public, legal energy company in China,” his spokesman said, effectively confirming the first-time payments publicly.
“As a part of this three way partnership, Hunter received his share of the seed funds in good faith, which he shared along with his uncle, James Biden and Hallie Biden, with whom he was associated on the time, and shared the expenses.”
The claim that the $3 million that was sent to Biden associate Rob Walker on March 1, 2017, constituted “seed funds” was derided by Tony Bobulinski, a former enterprise partner turned whistleblower.
“It’s absolutely ridiculous,” Bobulinski told me on Friday.
“The cash was not seed money for future work. It was a part of the payment for the work the Bidens did for the Chinese in 2015 and 2016.”
Indeed, Bobulinski had previously said publicly – and told the FBI – that he witnessed Hunter shouting at a Chinese official involved within the three way partnership that the Biden family owed $20 million for the work that they had done over those two years.
The time distinction is important as Joe Biden was still vp in 2015 and 2016.
Bobulinski also says he met with Joe Biden in May 2017, just months after Joe left the White House and Biden knew all in regards to the China deal.
Handle the “big guy”
That very same month, one other partner wrote an email stating that 10% of the deals went to the “big guy” Bobulinski described as the present CEO.
The White House’s response to the disclosures was eloquent.
Not reacting to Comer’s substantive statement, he tried to cover behind politics as usual.
“As an alternative of bizarrely attacking the president’s family, perhaps Republicans within the House of Representatives should give attention to working with the president to make sure American families get results on vital priorities like lowering costs and strengthening health care,” the adviser said.
It was a ridiculous response, and apparently someone with a brain within the White House realized that they might not credibly completely ignore Comer’s accusations.
Unfortunately, the second attempt was little higher, although the president himself issued a denial.
In response to Fox News, Biden was confronted by a reporter Friday on the White House lawn and said simply that the GOP report was “unfaithful.”
Well that?
That is all he has to say about paying $3 million to his family and implying he’s in China’s pocket and a threat to national security?
I’m sorry, Mr. President, but “not true” is just not enough.
Not for a protracted shot.
Biden, in fact, relies on The Recent York Times and other propaganda media to guard him by denying or downplaying any emerging facts which are too near home.
They have been doing this consistently since The Post first leaked the story in regards to the incriminating contents of Hunter’s laptop back in October 2020.
But that invisible defense is over and is not going to find a way to stop the arrangements Comer and others are making using the subpoena power that comes with having a majority.
Eventually, Biden can have to reply the questions of great, well-informed journalists and check out to persuade the nation that he and his family have done nothing fallacious.
In America, nobody, not even the president, can run and conceal from the reality eternally.
Dem and dumber within the polls
Reader Donald Kasprzak, former mayor of Plattsburgh, Recent York, wonders why persons are surprised and offended that Albany refused to repair the bail laws she broke.
He writes, “Voters knew what the Democrats stood for, and yet they re-elect them every campaign cycle. Shame on most voters.”

Except you may have to pay for tickets as a substitute of getting paid, and losing a team sucks.
Otherwise, sure.
