Helen Mirren revealed on Friday that she shed tears of joy when her pal Brendan Fraser won the Oscar for Best Actor at the ninety fifth Academy Awards last Sunday.
The actress of “Catherine the Great” made a revelation. appearance on the show “The Kelly Clarkson”. promoting his latest movie “Shazam: Fury of the Gods”.
“I cried when Brendan Fraser received the award,” said Mirren, 77. “She’s such a beautiful person.”
“I’m sure you recognize what a ravishing man he’s. He’s a magical man – he was obviously very emotional, it was an enormous moment for him,” continued the legendary actress. “He was the right person for me – the way he reacted to it, I just found it very touching. That was the highlight of the whole show for me.”
“It is so cool,” commented Clarkson, 40. “He did a tremendous job.”
“He did a tremendous job,” the “Since U Been Gone” singer continued. “Because you think in them or their project or whatever it might be, and so they win. It’s a superb feeling for everyone involved.”

Fraser beat out several well-known actors, including Austin Butler, who was also considered a favourite for the award together with “The Whale” star.
The actor said it was an “honour” to be nominated alongside them.
“My God, I thank the Academy for this honor and our studio A24 for making such a daring film,” Fraser said in his acceptance speech. I’m grateful [director] Darren Aronofsky for throwing me a creative lifeline and hauling me aboard the good ship The Whale.
