Several bison belonging to rapper Rick Ross escaped from his property south of Atlanta last week, causing an uproar in the realm as residents reported seeing them roaming yards and walking near homes.
On Tuesday, Ross posted several videos on his Instagram saying the animals are his and introducing considered one of the bisons named “Timbuktu”.

Ross also urged other residents to maintain their pets by their collars, but admitted that he didn’t.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office explained in a March 20 post that it’s legal to own unusual pets and urged caution because “they may be unpredictable and possibly turn into aggressive.”
“Who would have thought, Buffalo, Fayette County,” the sheriff’s office said in an announcement released over the weekend.
“On March 13, a number of buffaloes decided to take a walk around Fayette County and explore the gorgeous homes of the Northbridge community. The Sheriff’s Office has been made aware of the situation and is currently working with the Fayette County Marshal’s Office to deal with the situation. Other Georgia neighborhood residents said they were shocked to see bison of their yards.
Video obtained by TMZ showed one person discovering bison on their property.
“I come to the office and pull into the driveway and this was outside,” the person recording the video is heard. “The office I’m in is sort of a home office and look what’s within the backyard. I used to be so afraid.
