Donald Trump on Saturday criticized President Joe Biden for his latest international gaffe: an embarrassing shout at China as he intended to sing Canada’s praises during a state visit to Ottawa.
“Mistakes like this, really big in the Canadian parliament, just cannot occur,” Trump published in Truth Social. “We’re the laughing stock of the WORLD!”
The 80-year-old president made a shivering storm in a speech before the Canadian parliament.
“Today I applaud China for stepping up,” Biden said, discussing the latest US-Canada border deal. “Sorry, I applaud Canada,” he corrected himself, drawing laughter from the assembled deputies.
“You may tell me what I feel of China,” he said cryptically, pointing to his head.
A fundraising email to supporters of the Trump campaign said Biden’s support for China “was no accident” – in light of reports that Biden’s members of the family received payments from a Chinese energy company in 2017.
“Biden may forget what country he’s in, but he’ll all the time remember who’s pulling the strings,” the email reads.
