Conservative protesters he was repeatedly assaulted on camera as he attempted to talk to attendees at the Trans Day of Visibility rally in Vancouver, Canada, while wearing a sign with anti-transgender messages on Friday.
Billboard Chris – known for countering liberal demonstrations in Canada and the US – said he was “attacked several times” while interviewing 100 rally participants at an event in Grandview Park.
“I had one other successful day of interviews on this trance day of visibility” – Elston he said in the video concerning the incident he posted on Twitter.
Footage from the perspective captured a transgender woman he approaches Elston and showers him with a torrent of expletives and insults while several Vancouver cops stand by and watch.
“You suck. fuck you. Fuck you, you are not wanted. fuck you. You’re the idiot king. Fuck you!” the woman said because the group jumped in to hitch her chats.
The woman becomes more aggressive and moves a few inches closer to Elston, who pays attention to her while she continues to scream.
The camera suddenly snaps out of Elston’s hand because the woman lunges at his throat.
With their hands on one another, they each fell to the bottom and a group of each protesters and counter-demonstrators jump up to interrupt it up.
It wasn’t until things became physical that the police intervened.
Considered one of the officers could even be seen laughing in the background before the argument escalated.
Different angle of attack shows that Elston pushed the woman – also as much as the neck – when she was inside inches of his face.
“Get your rattling hands off me!” She screamed as they each fell to the bottom.
This was the second time Elston had been attacked on camera.
One other movie was shown many individuals wearing camouflage hooded jackets and face coverings grabbed Elston’s camera and moved his billboard – which read “kids cannot consent to puberty blockers”.
Then one among the lads began pushing and kicking Elston, leaving him together with his nose scraped off.
Vancouver Police told Elston the fights appeared to be “mutual” and possibly didn’t constitute criminal assault.
Considered one of the officers allegedly told Elston that he was attempting to provoke a confrontation resulting in the attacks.
The department ultimately decided to launch an investigation to review videos and eyewitness accounts.
Police said no arrests have been made, although future charges could also be dropped in the longer term.
“I even have to sue the VPD. I even have to. The attack on our youngsters cannot proceed, neither can the police enabling anarchy and violence. What a surreal day,” Elston wrote in one other post.
The attack got here just days after the cancellation of a similar pro-transgender rally in Washington, D.C.
