The death toll from a violent storm that spawned tornadoes across the southern and midwestern United States rose to at least 32 over the weekend, in keeping with officials and media reports.
In accordance with the Memphis Police Department in Memphis, Tennessee, two children and an adult were found dead Saturday after strong winds knocked down trees on several homes.
In McNairy County, Tennessee, officials said a further two people had died, after seven deaths were reported earlier Saturday, in keeping with local media. The Tennessee Department of Health said on Sunday that there have been three additional weather-related deaths in three more counties, but gave no further details.
In accordance with the state Department of Natural Resources in Owen County, Indiana, the couple’s bodies were found at a campsite in McCormick’s Creek State Park.
