The anti-aging mogul, which spends hundreds of thousands annually maintaining an 18-year-old’s body, has revealed one other a part of its health routine – a device it claims allows it to perform the equivalent of “20,000 sit-ups” in only half-hour.
Bryan Johnson, 45, explained that he uses the grueling device as a part of a multimillion-dollar “anti-aging protocol” that has garnered widespread attention on social media over the past few months.
In a video posted on his Instagram account this week, Johnson was filmed shirtless strapping his belly to a device – which appears to stimulate the core muscles – and cranking it as much as its highest setting.
“It seems to tear out the entire stomach – it rips it out,” Johnson said in a video posted on his Instagram account.
Johnson then removes the device to disclose his abs and tout the newest advances on this extreme fitness regime.
“I believed I used to be going to be terribly sore after doing this, but I’m really not,” he added. “Surprisingly, it is not. But I’ll say that my stomach has never been stronger in my entire life and it has fundamentally modified how fit I feel.
Johnson, a software developer who amassed a fortune after selling his payment processing company Braintree Payment Solutions to eBay for $800 million in money, has now turned his attention to the concept of “bio-hacking.”
The tech mogul spends $2 million a 12 months and has assembled a team of 30 doctors and health workers as a part of an effort to reverse his body’s aging process.
Johnson says his philosophy, which incorporates a strict vegan weight-reduction plan of just 1,977 calories a day, a rigorous exercise schedule and a rigid sleep routine, gave him the center of a 37-year-old, the skin of a 28-year-old and the fitness of an 18-year-old.
The health guru said his ultimate goal is for all of his internal organs, from the brain and liver to the penis and rectum, to operate in addition to they did when he was a teenager.
“What I’m doing could appear extreme, but I’m attempting to prove that self-mutilation and decay usually are not inevitable,” Johnson said in a Bloomberg interview published in January.
As reported by The Post In February, Johnson faced public scrutiny of a different kind when his ex-girlfriend, actress Taryn Southern, filed a lawsuit accusing him of ending their relationship after learning she was being treated for breast cancer, amongst other allegations.
Southern claimed Johnson was “manipulating” and “controlling” during their relationship.
Johnson fired back, accusing Southern of attempting to extort a “threat” from him.[ing] make bizarre and lewd allegations [him] in public forums, unless he paid her exorbitant demands.”
