Renowned chef Gordon Ramsay, who is understood for his brash insults, got a taste of his own medicine from weary Australians after announcing his Sydney restaurant for nearly $535 a ticket.
The British restaurateur announced on Tuesday that it could be taking three Michelin-starred Gordon Ramsay restaurants to its elegant Aria restaurant for 3 nights from May 8-10.
Curated by Ramsay together with Aria founder and chef Matt Moran, the one-off dining experience will feature a seven-course menu that can “showcase the cuisine of Matt Abé”, the restaurant’s chef.
“The seven-course meal will feature Gordon Ramsay’s signature dishes, replacing British produce with ingredients from a few of Australia’s leading producers,” the event statement said.
The menu will feature a combination of dishes from 1998 to today by Abé and can feature signature dishes from the Gordon Ramsay Restaurant, including shellfish ravioli and a dessert with pecan pralines.
But foodies who get a taste of the mouth-watering cuisine have to be prepared to splurge on their savings with tickets price $329 per person, plus an extra $196 for those interested by “premium wine pairing.”
“Truthfully, we’re celebrating 25 years this yr (Gordon Ramsay Restaurant) and I can not consider a higher option to rejoice… than with a pop-up… at the stunning Aria Restaurant,” Ramsay said on Instagram reel after the announcement.
