A North Carolina amusement park teenager needed to be rescued from inside a giant claw game after he climbed as much as steal a bounty, in accordance with reports.
The incident happened Sunday at Carowinds Amusement Park in Charlotte, North Carolina, park officials said on Monday.
A spokesman for the park said they’d been made aware of a 13-year-old man who had climbed into a claw machine called the Cosmic XL Bonus Game.
Officials noticed that the teenager was attempting to steal the prize contained in the machine.
The game is produced by the Elaut Group, which is headquartered in Belgium and has offices in the US, Germany and Spain.
In accordance with the corporate’s website, the Cosmic XL Bonus Game is roughly 6.5 feet tall, nearly 5 feet wide, and 5 feet deep, making it much larger than your average claw game.
When the park learned that a teenager was trapped in the game, the emergency medical team responded, unlocked the machine, and the boy left.

After being released, the teenager was reportedly bandaged and handed over to a guardian.
A park spokesman said the boy was banned from the park for a yr attributable to attempted theft.
