The Prince and Princess of Wales honor Queen Elizabeth II in a special way.
On the day the late monarch would have celebrated his 97th birthday, Prince William AND Kate Middleton shared a never-before-seen family portrait of Her Majesty seated next to some of her youngest grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Next to a photo shared with their official Instagram April 21— taken by Kate herself — they noted, “This photo – of her with some of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren – was taken in Balmoral last summer.”
As for the royal division, who exactly was present? Although Queen Elizabeth had eight grandchildren, they were her youngest two – whose parents are Prince Edward AND Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh– that are within the back row: Lady Louise Windsor19 and James, Earl of Wessex15.
Meanwhile, of the Queen’s 12 great-grandchildren, three of William and Kate’s children Prince George9, Princess Charlotte7 and Prince Luis, 4, with cousins, Iza Phillips11, (of whom he’s the daddy Peter Phillips) i Lena Tindall4 (whose mother is Zara Tindall) stood in the center.
