Regions Hospital in St. Paul is the only Level I adult and pediatric trauma center and the largest provider of emergency care on the Eastern Metro. The hospital treats nearly 90,000 patients a 12 months in its Rescue Center. And the numbers are still growing.
The Emergency Center at Regions treats 18,500 more patients a 12 months than it did ten years ago, and it’s projected to grow steadily into the future. Finding space in care facilities is an urgent need for the community as the number of patients increases.
When there may be a mental health crisis, there may be also the Hospital of the Regions. We provide completely private rooms and a full team of health professionals seven days every week. At a time when the community is losing beds because of local hospital closures and cutbacks, we’re already at 98%-100% capability.
To fulfill the growing needs, the Foundation of Hospitals of Regions was launched Regions respond firstraising funds to support the expansion of the hospital emergency center and hospital mental health facilities.
