Wind in her hair, Grace DelVecchio was there.
Ever since 12-year-old Grace opened her Christmas present of Eras Tour tickets, the die-hard “Swiftie” is not just looking forward to seeing the pop superstar live – she’s crossing her fingers that she gets to meet her idol herself.
“I’ll scream and scream and jump up and down. I can not wait to see her!” the excited teen, who has Down syndrome, told The Post in anticipation of Swift’s Friday and Sunday concert events at MetLife Stadium.
At DelVecchio’s home in Westchester, T-Swizzle tunes are played from the moment Grace wakes up until bedtime, her mother Theresa DelVecchio said.
On Saturdays, the family has a convention of serving “folklore pancakes” – that are plain pancakes but cooked, while Swift’s “Folklore” album plays within the background, Theresa said.

“[Grace] plays Taylor Swift’s playlist on Alexa 24/7 – her big brother says “Enough!” Theresa said with fun.
Grace’s teachers will use a lady’s love for a pop superstar during her lessons in school.
“We’re going to speak about Taylor Swift, we’re going to wrap up Taylor Swift, we’re going to speak about who she is and why she’s vital,” said Jenn Sparano, who works closely with Grace as a speech therapist at Mildred E. Strang Middle School.

After Grace’s obsession with Swift began in late 2019 with the discharge of her Grammy-nominated album Lover, it has change into a mission for Grace’s dad, Michael DelVecchio, to secure his daughter’s concert tickets to the icon.
“It was like, each time Taylor Swift goes on one other tour, we’ve to be there regardless of what,” Michael said. “I had to make it a priority to do it [Grace]considering all the things she’s been through.
The daddy-of-two felt just like the “worst dad ever” when he was unable to fulfill his mission in the course of the pre-sale of tickets for the Eras Tour concert on November 15 – which devastated Ticketmaster after the location reported “historically unprecedented demand”.
Swifties reportedly saw tickets for up to $22,000 on StubHub, a ticket reseller site, within the wake of the chaos.

“I used to be devastated,” recalls Michael, holding back tears.
Just in time for Christmas, he was finally able to buy gold tickets for $240 to $418 each.
On Friday, Theresa and Grace attended the show with Grace’s 12- and 14-year-old cousins and two aunts.
Michael, Sparano and one other speech teacher will accompany Grace to the concert on Sunday.

“I’ll cry rather a lot [at the concert]Michael said with fun.
He showed The Post a beaded bracelet Grace made for him that reads “Swiftie Dad,” which he likes to sport.
In Michael’s eyes, there isn’t a higher role model for her daughter than T-Swizzle.
“I believe [Grace] he’s doing an amazing job of promoting himself, defending himself… And, after all, I believe he gets a few of that from seeing what Taylor does on a each day basis,” he said.
Even in the event that they don’t meet their idol, the concert events will mark “probably the greatest moments of our lives,” Theresa said.
