LeBron James’ son is dealing along with his own decision setback.
Because the world waits to see where Bronny James – star senior quarterback at Sierra Canyon High School in Los Angeles – will use his talents after graduation, one reporter was locked up for questioning his decision during practice on the Nike Hoop Summit in Oregon on Thursday .
A person believed to be Bronny’s publicist interrupted the reporter’s questioning throughout the interview – marking the primary time the 18-year-old was giving media interviews.
It began easily when a reporter asked Bronny – a 5-star recruit according to the On3 Basketball Rankings – about Oregon’s committed Jackson Shelstad and other top players trying to recruit him to their schools.
“These are fun times” a Bronny said smiling.
“It’s a nice joke with them. I talked to them, I talked to the coaches.
“…It’s good to know they need me there with them, but ultimately it’s my decision and I even have to make the fitting one for myself.”

The reporter then went a step further by asking Bronny if he knew when he would make a decision.
“I believe we are able to move on to questions about US Basketball and Hoop Summit,” chimed in Bronny’s PR representative, who wasn’t within the video.
In January, James said Oregon that Oregon, Ohio State, and USC are in Bronny’s top 5 – 6—and that his eldest son continues to be making up his mind.

When one other reporter asked about Shelstad, who’s a resident of Oregon, Bronny said the 2 were “talking about Oregon” and praised his playing.
“Me and Jackson are still trying to get to know one another” Weapons said. “He’s a nice guy.
“I like talking to him and stuff. We talked about Oregon and all that.
“I like his game a lot. He can shoot the ball well. Fast quarterback. He makes clever decisions. Everyone likes to play with a good quarterback who could make good decisions.

Bronny reportedly has offers from Memphis, Ohio State, USC, Kentucky, Oregon and Michigan.
There have been also rumors that he might consider G League Ignite, a development team within the NBA G League.
Bronny, who will turn 19 in October, is eligible for the draft in 2024.

The highest candidate has been guarded throughout his recruiting process, which is not any surprise since he’s the son of James, the long run basketball Hall of Famer from the primary ballot.
Some college coaches said Bronny’s recruiting process was difficult due to his level of fame.
“I attempted to get entangled, but you had to go through hundreds of obstacles to get to Mom [Savannah James]” one ACC coach said On3.
“You will not be allowed to talk to the kid. On Tuesday or Thursday, you would like to make an appointment with the publicist to speak along with your mother.”

Last month, LaVar Ball – the avowed father of NBA players LaMelo (Hornets) and Lonzo Ball (Bulls) – said Bronny should drop out of college and play basketball in Australia.
The 6-foot-3, 180-pound quarterback showed off his shooting prowess finally month’s McDonald’s All-American in Houston, where James sat on the court along with his mother Gloria, wife Savannah and their son Bryce and daughter Zhuri.
Bronny finished with 15 points as his West team fell to the East 109-106.
He’ll play the Nike Summit on Saturday and said his entire family will probably be in attendance.
“You will notice them, and you may definitely hear them.” The entire family will probably be here.”
