One podcaster dreamed that his latest show could turn out to be a hit — but not like this.
Nathan Reeves was just ending an interview with friend Alexsey Reyes for his latest podcast when disaster loomed. Because the two recorded at a local coffee shop, the speeding SUV veered off the road and crashed into a glass window right behind them.
The 2 were filming a series for Reeves YouTube channelso all of the motion was captured on the video.

Miraculously, nobody was hurt within the dramatic incident.
“It was a complete shock at first,” Reeves told the web site Jalopnick. “After ensuring everyone was okay and nobody was killed, we thought, ‘Oh my God. I am unable to consider we have now this on film.”

Lucky he’s alive
Reeves remains to be putting together the events of that day. The 2 lined up on the window of the Tout Suite cafe in Houston overlooking the road. “It’s gotten so quiet here,” Reeves told Reyes in what could ominously be described because the calm before the storm.
A couple of seconds later, a black Chevrolet Tahoe bursts into the frame, hurtling straight at them, smashing the window – and their nerves.
What caused the accident?
Houston police have yet to say, but Reeves offered his perspective.
“I’m pretty sure the black SUV ran a red light and was hit within the side after which drove straight into us,” he said.
Immediately after the crash, Reyes and Roy are seen coming together. The 2 seem initially more excited about the podcast than their very own lives. “I believe all the pieces is superb. I believe we have now all of the sound there,” says Reyes.
The 2 told Jalopnik that initially they felt nothing but adrenaline coursing through their bodies. But a few days later they each had stiff backs and were on account of see a doctor. “We’re glad nobody actually died,” Reyes said.
When asked about making the video public, each admitted that they might not pass up a great opportunity for publicity. The video was posted on YouTube and went viral.
“We decided we were going to make the most effective of a really bad situation,” Reyes said.
