CNN daytime anchor Ana Cabrera will flee the cost-cutting network to take a task at rival MSNBC, two people accustomed to the situation have told The Post.
The presenter, who currently hosts CNN’s 1 p.m. show, confirmed on Thursday that she was leaving Warner Bros. Discovery network, which has laid off tons of of employees this month.
Cabrera tweeted that her last day at CNN shall be next week after working there for nearly a decade.
“Goodbyes are hard,” she wrote. “Thanks CNN for all the things. (My last concert shall be one week from today, December twenty second.) I’m looking forward to starting a latest chapter in my profession and excited for the brand new opportunities, challenges and growth ahead!”
This chance will appear on MSNBC, two sources told The Post.
Cabrera will reappear as a presenter on the 11:00 a.m. show on MSNBC, owned by NBCUniversal, following the lifting of the non-compete clause in her contract with CNN, Diversity reported.

MSNBC declined to comment. CNN and Cabrera didn’t reply to requests for comment.
Cabrera is leaving CNN amid sharp cost cuts on a network whose viewership is in query. Earlier this month, CNN CEO Chris Licht laid off tons of of jobs, including high-profile CNN correspondents Alison Kosik, Martin Savidge, Alex Field, Mary Ann Fox and Chris Cillizza, in addition to sister network HLN.
Cabrera’s departure was her decision and never a part of this bloodbath as multiple sources have reported to The Post.
