Andie MacDowell stays silver in her golden years.
The “4 Weddings and a Funeral” actress, who will turn 65 in April, is having fun with her gray hair as she ages, the star told former “Today” co-host Katie Couric.
“I need to be old. I’m uninterested in attempting to be young. I don’t desire to be young. I used to be young. And to be an old person attempting to be young, what an effort. It’s numerous effort,” she said.
MacDowell’s aging affirmation comes on the heels of 57-year-old “Family Ties” actress Justine Bateman as she speaks out against Botox and fillers amidst people criticizing her appearance.
“I feel seeing beauty is very important at any age, and it is not age-limited,” MacDowell he told Couric. “Occasionally I’ll say to someone, ‘I’m old,’ and so they’ll say, ‘No, you are not!’
“As if it’s something terrible to say … And I’ll tell them, ‘What if I say I’m young?’ You haven’t got an issue with that, do you? The reality is I’m old and that is OK. That is what I need people to take into consideration.”

MacDowell, known for her blockbuster roles in movies akin to “St. Elmo’s Fire “Groundhog Day” said Couric that ladies in their 60s like her should enjoy this era in their lives.
“Why is aging so embarrassing?” she said.
“We’re nearing the tip. We’ve got no time to waste feeling ashamed.”
MacDowell also discussed her love for her silver hair and why she selected to grow it.
“Looks good on me,” she said. “Because it grew, my eyes popped out. Their color looked a bit different. I liked the way in which my skin looked higher. And there was a sense. It made me stronger.”
MacDowell’s commentary comes after Bateman opens up about trolling online to age naturally. “I just don’t give ace-t. I feel I look blissful. I feel my face represents who I’m. I prefer it,” Bateman said bluntly “60 minutes in Australia”.

Through the show, Bateman recalled doing a Google search herself and finding an autocomplete that said “looks old” in a photograph of her at age 42.
She discussed the pressure women face to eliminate wrinkles.
“I feel sad that they are being pulled away from the things they’re presupposed to do in life with this all-consuming thought that they should fix their face before the rest can occur,” Bateman said in an interview, admitting that she had considered getting the job done herself.
Ultimately, she decided she wasn’t interested.
“Ignore your face! That is what I’m saying. Do away with the fear that facial wrinkles will wreck many opportunities for you.
