Second vintage Vogue world jumps over to the UK and is set to kick off London Fashion Week this fall.
Wintour, editor-in-chief of Vogue and chief content officer at Conde Nast, hopes the show will take over “just like the Met Gala did.”
Fresh on the heels of fashion’s biggest night out, Wintour gears up for a UK iteration.
After last yr’s show went “splendidly”, the style mogul said it was moving the Vogue World theater to London “to point out our support for the arts”.

The philanthropic event featuring rapper Stormzy and actress Michaela Coel can be ticketed to lift money for town’s arts institutions comparable to the National Theatre, the Royal Opera House and the Royal Ballet.

“Fashion doesn’t exist in a vacuum,” added Mark Guiducci, editorial creative director at US Vogue. “It needs cultural context, and that is what Vogue does.”
Rufus Norris, director of the National Theatre, praised Vogue’s efforts as London’s arts scene continues to “get better from the pandemic”. Pointing to the vitality of the sector, Norris added that it was “touching to have such support from the style world”, in response to a press release.
But this runway is in stark contrast to Wintour’s trademark Met Gala, where tickets are said to cost tens of hundreds of dollars.
In an try to “make it as friendly as possible”, tickets to London’s Vogue World will start at just over $180, with some chosen students getting free entry.
