Upper East Side bride Amy Littleson McNitt wanted her 193 wedding guests dressed up for her big day on February 11.
So, on her blush-tinted invitations, the blonde encouraged attendees to think of pink when choosing an outfit – and more specifically, a pink Barbie.
“I absolutely love Barbie and pink has always been my favorite color,” Amy, a 29-year-old fashion and lifestyle blogger, told The Post.
She and her husband John McNitt, 28, were married at the pink-painted First Baptist Church in Vero Beach, Florida.
The lovers then held a pool party complete with pink and white couches and booths.
“Pink was everywhere at my wedding,” Amy said. “It was my dream”.

She’s not alone. The Barbie style – known as “Barbiecore” – has become very fashionable in recent months as fans eagerly await the premiere of the movie “Barbie” starring Margot Robbie on July 21st. Barbie-obsessed brides are incorporating this trend into their weddings.
On TikTok, #BarbieBride has a staggering 3.9 million views, with newlyweds showing off pink dresses, cakes, suits and more. AND Wedding trends report 2023 of Pinterest and Zola’s virtual wedding center found that online searches for “Barbie wedding theme” increased by 140%, while searches for “hot pink wedding colors” increased by 465%.
According to research, “popular movies and culture have been the deciding factor when it comes to wedding themes” over the past year.

McNitts received a very rosy reception. The ceremony included a huge arch of pink roses, peonies and hydrangeas; a signature pink cocktail; and a five-tier pink wedding cake. Guests – most of them dressed in shades of pink and fuchsia He enjoyed party favors like pink sunglasses, boas, and sparkly rings.
The bride wore white for the ceremony, but later changed into a pink tulle number from the Bronx and Banco. At the end of the evening, the newlyweds departed in a pink and white Moke, an electric outdoor vehicle resembling Barbie’s Jeep Wrangler.
“Barbie is an icon forever,” said Amy, “and it was great to have this relationship with her [on my wedding day]”.

Ebony Tewierik spent countless hours trying on traditional white wedding gowns in the months leading up to her April 1 wedding day. None of them impressed the 31-year-old from Melbourne, Australia, and she feared she would never find the dress of her dreams.
Then she expanded its color palette.
“Growing up, I loved Barbie and was always drawn to pink,” Ebony, digital marketing manager, told The Post. “And I brought that love to our wedding.”
For her big day, she donned a bright fuchsia gown known as “The Manifestation Gown” by Australian designer Aje.
“When I first saw the dress, I knew it was meant to be,” she said, adding that her current husband, Jeremy Royston, fully supported her not wearing white.
“Our wedding was a very faithful representation of me and my husband and our relationship – fun, colorful and never boring!”

Bride Arin Smith, 22, likes things hot – hot pink to be exact.
So for her fete in July 2022, she wedding planner Lauren Hembree was eavesdropping decorate her party venue in Canyon Lake, Texas with funky décor and brightly colored designs.
But the groom, 24-year-old Hudson Smith, initially objected when Arin suggested he wear something pink. Then he gave up.
“We went shopping for suits and I begged him to try on one light pink,” Arin, 22, and an Oklahoma software salesman in City, Oklahoma, told The Post.

“It looked so good on him and he knew it would make me happy,” she continued, “So he said, ‘Let’s go with a pink suit,’ and that’s what he wore on our wedding day.”
To complete her Ken Smith living doll walked down the alley in a pair of bright pink pumps, and her flock of 10 bridesmaids donned pink dresses in shades and styles of their choice.
“Maybe [Hudson and I] I’ll regret it in 20 years,” Arin said with a laugh, “but that’s what I wanted.”

Newly engaged Kayla Hutton has been a proud “Barbie Girl” since Danish dance-pop group Aqua released the hit in 1997.
So when fiancé Danny Giles asked this question on March 18, Hutton decided to announce his engagement with a whimsical boho Barbie-inspired photoshoot.
“Dressing up as Barbie and taking these photos was unique and beautiful,” Hutton, a 33-year-old nurse and mother of two from Alberta, Canada, told The Post.
Lifestyle photographer Rani Ingram shot a couple in the greenery of Cork & Crates Estates, Alberta wedding venue.
Kayla wore a Barbie-colored corset and a cream skirt, along with a pink headpiece and a bouquet of blush flowers.
“The decor was fun and flirty,” said Kayla, who plans to have Mattel girlie pieces at her wedding in Arizona’s scenic Golden Canyon next spring.
“The Barbie theme makes the wedding feel more like a celebration.”
