Bud Light has been hailed as booing on social media whilst he tries to point out support for the United States women’s soccer team.
The struggling beer brand, which has faced backlash and boycotts over its ill-fated partnership with trans-influencer Dylan Mulvaney, posted a two-word tweet ahead of Friday’s Down Under World Cup opening.
“Let’s goooooo,” Bud Light’s official account was posted Thursday morning, tagging the soccer team alongside an American flag emoji.
The corporate’s try and show patriotic pride, nonetheless, was quickly suppressed.
“Women? Or simply one who claims to be a lady? one user replied.
Other warned: “Don’t drag them with you!”
Bud Light has seen its sales tank since Mulvaney’s advertised the brand on April 1.
“Let’s go, let’s buy some Modelo”, one other he wrote, referring to the brand threatening to overtake Bud Light as the country’s best-selling beer.
“A root canal could be higher than a bud,” one other tweeted.
Other turned on: “I’m still waiting for an apology for pushing Trans Agenda.”
Bud Light’s parent company, Anheuser-Busch, has steadfastly refused to apologize for the Mulvaney campaign – despite the controversy that has caused a $27 billion loss in market value.

Mulvaney, who recently fled to Peru to “feel protected”, accused the company of abandoning her and “allowing customers to be as transphobic and hateful as they need”.
“For an organization to rent a trans person after which not rise up for them in public is worse than not hiring a trans person in any respect,” Mulvaney said in a clip shared with TikTok last month.
The 26-year-old added: “Supporting transgender people mustn’t be political. Working with us mustn’t be divisive or controversial.”
Her comments got here a day after Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth declined to say whether the company would ever work with Mulvaney again.
Mulvaney now appears to be looking for greater than brand endorsements for business, urging college campuses to contact her and book a speaking opportunity along with her.

“I even have booked a speaking opportunity for the upcoming 23/24 school yr and would love to return visit,” she told her 2 million followers via Instagram story on Wednesday.
She attached her email address “for serious inquiries” and added “I really like you!”
Creative Arts Agency (CAA) website — a talent agency representing Mulvaney — is listed as a speaker who can speak about topics resembling LGBTQIA+ advocacy, social media, women’s empowerment, in addition to diversity, equality and inclusion.
