Plainly Chris Rock is just not glad with the academy recently.
while making tribute speech in honor of awarding his friend Adam Sandler this yr’s Mark Twain for American humor, the comedian announced the Oscars for disregarding the star of “Rough Gems”.
“I’ve known this guy for 30 years,” Rock, 58, said of Sandler, 56, during a speech on the Kennedy Center in Washington.
“The Oscars, you understand, are fucking holes,” he continued. “And in the event that they won’t give my man his props, we’ll do it tonight.”
Rock appeared to be referring to Sandler’s failure to be nominated for the role of Latest York jeweler Howard Ratner within the 2019 film Uncut Gems.
Sandler’s role was highly praised and a few even called it “best” performance throughout his profession — including The Post.

The film grossed over $500 million domestically on a budget of $19 million, in accordance with box office statistics.
Together with great reviews, it even scored points prize from the National Board of Review USA as a “Top Ten Film”.
Nonetheless, the film directed by Josh and Benny Safdie was not nominated for any Oscars.
In response to the snub, Sandler tweeted message on the time, writing: “Bad news: The Sandman is just not getting love from the Academy. Excellent news: The Sandman can stop wearing suits.”
He also took a bow to his good friend Kathy Bates, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in 2020 for her role in Clint Eastwood’s Richard Jewell.

Sandler’s buddy Chris Rock obviously had his bumpy ride with the Oscars after being slapped by Will Smith on the 2022 ceremony.
When Rock presented the award for best documentary, he made a joke about Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, which Smith greatly disliked.
In response, Smith shouted, “Keep my wife’s name out of your fucking mouth,” then went on stage and slapped him.
During his speech on the award ceremony, Mr. Mark Twain for American humor, Rock also made a joke in regards to the infamous slap handed out on the Oscars, hailing Paul Pelosi within the audience.

Pelosi, the husband of former US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was attacked with a hammer during a house invasion last yr.
