CVS Health Corp. pharmacy chains and Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc. have reduced the purchase of painkillers for children as they face supply constraints and high demand, with the US experiencing one of the worst flu season in a decade.
CVS said there’s now a two-item limit on all children’s painkillers in all of its pharmacies and online, while Walgreens said it has introduced a limit of six over-the-counter pediatric fever reducers per online transaction.

Bloomberg’s Law of Which First reported The American supermarket chain Kroger Co. announced the purchase limit, which also introduced a purchase limit on two painkillers for children.
Kroger didn’t immediately reply to a Reuters request for comment.
