The California automotive dealership where the nanny for Katharine McPhee and David Foster was killed said it’s “fully cooperating” with the Los Angeles Police Department because it tries “to learn from this incident so we are able to prevent such tragedies in the longer term.”
“We extend our deepest condolences to Yadira’s family, friends, and family members during this incredibly difficult time,” Megan Maybee, director of communications for Hamer Toyota in Mission Hills, told Us Weekly in a press release Thursday.
“The loss of such a vibrant life in such tragic circumstances is a heavy burden to bear, and we share of their grief.”
The Post has reached out to the dealership for comment.
Yadira Calito, 55, died after she was struck on Aug. 9 by a Toyota RAV4 driven by an 84-year-old woman who crashed into Hamer Toyota’s customer reception area. Calito cared for Rennie, the 2-year-old son of McPhee and Foster.

In line with the LAPD, the elderly driver hit the gas as a substitute of the brakes, reportedly pinning Calito under her vehicle and dragging her 20 feet. Calito died on the hospital.
The motive force, a resident of Mission Hills, was not injured — but she caused non-life-threatening injuries to 2 male Toyota employees, a 23-year-old and a 35-year-old, police said.
The motive force has reportedly not been arrested in relation to Calito’s death.
McPhee, 39, and Foster, 73, announced Friday that there had been “a horrible tragedy” of their family, prompting the “American Idol” alumna to depart the couple’s “David Foster and Friends” tour in Asia.

“Dearest Jakarta fans, it’s with heavy heart I announce I even have to miss our final two shows of our Asia run,” the “Terrified” singer shared on Instagram.
“David [Foster] and I even have had a horrible tragedy in our family and at the least one of us have to get back home to our family. Please know the way sorry I’m and how much I want to return sooner or later and perform for you all. Love Katharine.”
McPhee and Foster wed in 2019. They welcomed Rennie in February 2021.
