Former Disney Channel actress Skai Jackson is mocked online after asking fans to pay a $5 fee to enter an Apple MacBook raffle.
Jackson, 21, explained the hand and consistently defended herself on TikTok live.
“It is not that serious for a goddamn $5. It’s called a lottery. I do not know for those who’ve been to high school yet, but I do know that I went to high school and we had lotteries on a regular basis,” she said emphatically.
Seemingly responding to a comment in regards to the fees, Jackson continued: “The money goes to the prize and as I said, if there’s anything left over, I will be doing a second hand soon. In order that’s where it’s headed.”
Jackson then went into the defense, admitting that despite asking for gift money, she didn’t seek or need monetary compensation.

“I do not need money. I personally don’t need money. And I’m not saying this in a boastful way or anything like that or in a mean way. I just need to let you know that I personally don’t need money. Like I’m having a excellent life.” assured her supporters.
Fans voiced their concerns on social media, with some asking why the actress didn’t pay for the pc instantly.
“So principally all Skai fans pooled their money together to purchase one fan a Mac? A star is to purchase it and the money donated goes to charity,” one user wrote.

“Skai Jackson is on TikTok live telling kids to send her $5 to her cashapp for a probability to win a MacBook. He says he doesn’t need the money, so why is he charging an entrance fee? Is not that weird for you?” one other person asked.
“Skai Jackson is the most important one saying to ppl ‘I’m booked and busy’ but begging ppl to do a $5 raffle to win a ‘MacBook’? guess Disney’s check finally ran out,” one other joked.
Jackson’s big break got here in 2011 when she was solid in the Disney Channel show “Jessie”.
She reprized her role in the Disney spin-off “Bunk’d” for three seasons.
Jackson has since done several voice projects and starred in the 2023 film Sheroes.
She also appeared in “Dancing with the Stars”.
